Mission

The MiG-29UB combat-training fighter is designed to provide flight and operational training of flying personnel and conduct combat missions.

The MiG-29UB can be effective in developing and improving pilot skills needed to fly, navigate, execute combat maneuvering and employ MiG-29 type fighters, both on solo and group missions. It can also be used to engage aerial and ground (surface) targets, conduct air support of ground troops and landing forces, battlefield air interdiction and aerial reconnaissance.

Equipment

The MiG-29UB carries flight-control-navigation equipment, a quantum optical locating station, a helmet-mounted targeting system, a head-up display, a radio set and radio command control equipment, electronic warfare equipment and other equipment that working together provides high flight safety, effective solving of navigation and training tasks, as well as the use of aerial weapons.
