The BMPT-72 Fire Support Combat Vehicle is designed to provide fire support to tank and infantry units, suppress heavy and light armoured targets both on the ground and in the air.  As the CV was derived from T-72 MBT it can boast of great protection, reliability and maneuverability. The BMPT-72’s fire control system with gunner's and commander's multi-channel sights makes it possible to detect and engage targets with two 30mm 2A42 automatic cannons using HE and AP rounds and coaxial 7.62mm PKT machine guns, in any weather conditions and in day/night modes (full ammo load is 2100 rds). The vehicle is also equipped with four supersonic laser guided missiles. BMPT-72 FSCVs assigned to any assault unit massively augment its combat capabilities and range of missions accomplished.
