Cooperation with Bangladesh

On  March 3, 1972 Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman visited Moscow with his first official delegation.

Russian-Bangladeshi trade and economic relations are developing on the basis of an intergovernmental agreement on economic and technical cooperation and a trade agreement adopted in 1972.  In the same year the foundation of military and technical cooperation was laid, when Sheikh Rahman asked the Soviet leadership to help to demine Chittagong port and remove blockships.

The agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh on military-technical cooperation was signed in Dhaka on February 9, 1999

There is a representative office of the State Corporation Rostec in the Republic, which ensures the interests of Rosoboronexport.
