The international aviation and space exhibition Dubai Airshow is one of the largest world air shows. It has been held on a biennial basis since 1989, with the assistance of the Government, Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and the Ministry of Defence of UAE.     

The venue is the DUBAI Airshow Site, Dubai World Central (DWC).

Rosoboronexport is the organizer of Russia’s joint display at the exhibition.

The exhibition has become one the most important events of this kind for the countries of the Persian Gulf and the Middle East in recent years. Considering the scope and international representation, Dubai Airshow is consistently in the top five largest and the most important exhibitions together with such international aviation and space salons as MAKS (Russia), Paris Air Show (France), AirShow China and Farnborough International (UK).

The themes of the exhibition cover armaments and military equipment of air force, air defence, as well as space systems, civil aviation and technologies of aircraft engineering.

Russia has taken part in all previously held exhibitions since 1993.
