The JSC ROSOBORONEXPORT (part of Rostec State Corporation) is taking part in the EDEX 2023 International Defenсe Industry Exhibition, which takes place from December 4 to 7 in Cairo, Egypt.

EDEX completes the global exhibition campaign of 2023, in which ROSOBORONEXPORT took part in 16 international exhibitions held in Russia and abroad.

"EDEX is the largest defence exhibition on the African continent. ROSOBORONEXPORT is engaged in active military-technical cooperation with 80% of countries in the region. The share of exports to African countries in 2023 exceeded 30% of ROSOBORONEXPORT's total supplies, and the total value of contracts concluded by the company in the region will exceed $5.2 billion by the end of the year," said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of ROSOBORONEXPORT. "Our task at EDEX 2023 is to fine-tune cooperation on the points of interaction outlined during the Second Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg. In addition, ROSOBORONEXPORT will continue to finalize the agreements reached with Middle East countries at Dubai Airshow 2023."

ROSOBORONEXPORT has exhibited at all previous editions of EDEX held under the patronage of Egypt's President and Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi. Traditionally, the company demonstrates in Egypt the majority of new Russian-made export products, which are actively gaining top positions in the global arms market, including through the successful experience of their use in real combat conditions.

Among the products that ROSOBORONEXPORT is presenting at EDEX 2023 are the latest Russian aircraft and armored vehicles, missile and artillery systems, naval products, multifunctional and combat UAVs, air defence and electronic warfare equipment, small arms and ammunition.

"Today, ROSOBORONEXPORT, being aware of security challenges and threats facing African states, is doing its best to remain a reliable partner. Among other things, the company is actively cooperating with the region on cyber security and space programs, as well as counter-terrorism equipment. Relevant contracts and memorandums of understanding have been signed with a number of countries and are being executed, and we are discussing practical steps to implement them," Alexander Mikheev added.
