Rosoboronexport intends to increase helicopter exports

At the International Helicopter Industry Exhibition, HeliRussia 2015, which will be held from 21 to 23 May in Moscow, Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec State Corporation, will discuss the prospects for the delivery of new Russian helicopters.

“In 2014, Rosoboronexport supplied foreign customers with over 100 helicopters of various types. The last five years have seen steady annual growth in helicopter exports and we will try to maintain the momentum. The Mi-17-type military transport helicopters will remain the most in-demand models in the coming years. However, we are confident that our new models – Mi-28NE and Ka-52 attack helicopters – will take its share in our order portfolio,” said Vladislav Kuz'michev, Deputy Head of Rosoboronexport’s Air Force Equipment Export Department.

At HeliRussia 2015, Rosoboronexport will present the whole export line of Mil and Kamov helicopters to foreign partners. Other important areas include the delivery of the entire range of training aids and the modernization of previously supplied helicopters.

Rosoboronexport’s helicopter exports have been steadily growing over 15 years since the establishment of the company. A total of over 800 Mil and Kamov helicopters have been delivered to foreign customers through the state special exporter since 2000.

Helicopter delivery contracts are currently among the major contracts which Rosoboronexport is fulfilling. In particular, these include contracts to supply military transport helicopters Mi-17V-5 to India and Mi-171SH to Peru.
