03.04.2018 Press release

JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) is to take an active part in the 7th Moscow Conference on International Security (MCIS 2018), organized by the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation and to be held in the Moscow’s ‘Radisson Royal’ hotel on April 4-5, 2018.

“Nowadays there are few security fora, which can be compared with the Moscow conference from the point of view of their scale and representation. Rosoboronexport considers this platform as having a huge potential for the development of military and technical cooperation with foreign states. In the margins of the conference we will take part in the planned meetings of the Ministry of Defence of the Russian Federation with more than 25 delegations, headed by top military leaders of Russia’s partner countries. In line with the experience of previous years, I may state that the output will be very good. We will have new talks, new joint decisions, new level of relations with our colleagues,” said Rosoboronexport’s Director General Alexander Mikheev.

Rosoboronexport traditionally acts as a partner of the conference. Its aim is to search for joint mutually acceptable responses to the contemporary challenge of the security threat. The conference brings more and more practical results. There is a constant growth in the number of participating nations, the level of their delegations, the variety of considered issues and the importance of taken decisions.

In 2018 the conference will be attended by over 80 people, including defence ministers, top military leaders, heads of international organizations, leading experts in the area of defence and security from all the world regions.

“Apart from the strengthening of military and technical cooperation with foreign countries, the conference gives us a unique opportunity to feel the requirements of the world market of armaments and security equipment. Here we learn firsthand what the foreign customers need, which forms of interaction they would like to use and, more importantly, how they see the future of their armed forces and cooperation on the provision of international security. Here we also find the best ways to achieve these objectives,’ added the head of Rosoboronexport.
