Rosoboronexport outperforms Moscow’s average COVID-19 vaccination rate
06.07.2021 Press release
“Before the end of 2021, Rosoboronexport is going to take part in thirteen international weaponry and military technology trade fairs,” said Alexander Mikheev, Director General, Rosoboronexport. “Nine of them will be held abroad, in Greece, Serbia, Turkey, China, Peru, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and Egypt, and four will take place in Russia, including two of the world’s largest forums, Army-2021 and MAKS-2021. A total of more than 200 foreign delegations from over 70 countries have been invited to attend. Rosoboronexport employees are aware that COVID-19 poses a threat to human life and health, and, taking into account the nature of their work that involves frequent business travel abroad, meetings and talks with partners from across the globe, they voluntarily get vaccinated against the coronavirus. The Company welcomes its employees’ willingness to take care of their health, and, in order to make the best use of their personal time and business hours, we have made arrangements for vaccination using the Russian combined vector vaccine, Sputnik V, at a Moscow clinic.”

In addition, Rosoboronexport applies all preventive measures to thwart the spread of the coronavirus infection. All employees and visitors must wear face masks and gloves indoors when staying on the Company’s premises. In accordance with recommendations of specialized government agencies, sanitizers and air disinfectants are available on the premises.

The Company makes sure that its employees going on business abroad get tested for COVID-19 with a PCR test both in Russia and in the host countries. Those who return from business trips are allowed to get back to work only after having passed two negative coronavirus tests.

“Despite the strictly controlled measures we are taking in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19, some of Rosoboronexport’s employees have had the disease nonetheless. If cleared by the doctor, they also get vaccinated today,” added Alexander Mikheev. “The Company has developed and introduced a program of incentives for vaccinated employees, which includes various forms of social benefits.”
