31.05.2017 Press release

Rosoboronexport, a member of Rostec, will take part at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum SPIEF-2017. On the sidelines of the event, Director General Alexander Mikheev of Rosoboronexport and special arms exporter’s top management will hold 20-plus meetings with heads and representatives of businesses in Russia and abroad.

“We have prepared a tight schedule to implement with Russian and foreign business partners. One of the major points in it is a high-level meeting with PM Narendra Modi of India, where issues of military and technical cooperation between our countries are to be raised. More specific projects will be discussed with the heads of India’s largest companies,” says Alexander Mikheev.

Rosoboronexport’s representatives and top officials of several foreign states and their security agencies will look into prospects of cooperation. In this respect, scheduled are talks with officials of Burundi and Zimbabwe.

Russia’s arms exporter will get together with the delegates of Larsen & Toubro Limited, India’s largest corporation, to go through technological cooperation projects. Top on the agenda is a joint initiative for development of an air-independent propulsion for submarines.

Other scheduled events include meetings with Russian partners under auspices of the round table Made in Russia, as well as authorities of Rosselkhozbank, Sberbank, Gazprombank and other players actively involved into military and technical projects of the country.

Rosoboronexport is confident that the forum will prove instrumental in focusing on Russia's export priorities, figuring out ways of economic interaction with foreign customers and solutions to supporting contracts signed by the special arms exporter.
