Rosoboronexport, part of the Rostec State Corporation, became the general sponsor of the Third International Forum “Engineering Technologies 2014”, which will include the Oboronexpo 2014 international Exhibition. The events will be held from 13 to 17 August 2014 on the territory of the Rossiya transport and exhibition complex in Zhukovsky (Moscow region).
“Rosoboronexport is the general sponsor of many Russian exhibitions, - said Rosoboronexport’s Deputy Director General Igor Sevastyanov heading the company’s delegation at the forum. - For us, it is crucially important. After all, it is here at home that we and domestic manufacturers of military products have the opportunity to show our foreign partners a wide range of Russian military equipment. Demonstration of weapon models not only on display stands, but also in action at a specially prepared test range – that is what foreign military experts want to see.”
Rosoboronexpor’s display will showcase modern Russian armored vehicles, missile and artillery systems, close assault weapons and ammunition, key air defense assets, different training systems, as well as some models of helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Rosoboronexport’s delegation expects increased interest among participants and guests of the forum in the key exhibits: various variants of the T-90 main battle tank, BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicle, a lightweight version of the Smerch multiple rocket launcher system, upgraded 155mm Msta-S self-propelled howitzer, Kornet-EM anti-tank missile system, Khrizantema-S self-propelled anti-tank missile system, Pantsyr-S1, Tor-M2E and Buk-M2E air defense missile systems, Ka-52, Mi-28NE and Mi-35M attack helicopters, as well as Mi-17-type military transport helicopters.
