press release
Russia’s sole state special exporter Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will present a new automated after-sales service (ASS) system for land forces weapons, military and special equipment at the KADEX International Exhibition of Arms and Military Equipment 2016 to be held on June 2-5, 2016 in Astana, Kazakhstan.
The project’s proposals are aimed at organizing maintenance and repair of weapons and military equipment, logistics support, training, as well as establishing an information system as an after-sales service process management tool. All technical means of the proposed ASS system are mounted on vehicle chassis, which ensures their high mobility.
Provision is made to adapt the ASS system to the table of organization and equipment of the customer's units and subunits, to their tactics and methods of employing the available weapons. It is assumed that the customer’s defense companies will be actively involved in manufacturing the system.
The proposed automated ASS system has undergone comprehensive tests and is currently in service with the Russian Armed Forces.
“Previous approaches to after-sales service, based on obsolete technologies, have been completely outdated. That is why Russia offers a comprehensive solution, which will allow our partners to move to a qualitatively new after-sales service system within the shortest possible time and at a reasonable price. This will significantly improve fighting capabilities of their land forces,” said Esen Topoev, Advisor to Rosoboronexport Director General, who heads the joint Rostec and Rosoboronexport delegation at the exhibition.
Rosoboronexport invites all interested specialists to attend the presentation “Prospects for the development of after-sales service systems for land forces armament, military and special equipment,” which will be held at KADEX 2016 on June 2 at 15.00, Conference Hall 1.
