At the International Paris Air Show, which will take place from 15 to 21 June 2015 in Paris (France), Russia’s special exporter Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will present the key export models of aircraft and air defense systems and will also “compare notes” with its European partners.

“In Paris, we will showcase all the key Russian export aircraft and air defense weapon models. Russia holds strong positions in these segments, which account for more than half of the total exports of armaments and military equipment effected through Rosoboronexport. We seek to expand our geographic footprint and the range of supplied products,” said Sergey Kornev, Head of Air Force Equipment Export Department, who leads the Company’s delegation at the exhibition.

Foreign delegations are expected to take an interest in the Su-35 and MiG-29M M2 fighters, Yak-130 training and combat aircraft, Be-200 amphibious aircraft, Il-76MD-90A military transport aircraft, Ka-52, Mi-35M and Mi-28NE attack helicopters. As regards air defense weapons, experts will be able to familiarize themselves with the characteristics of the Igla-S MANPADS, Pantsir-S1 SPAAGM system, Tor-M2E and Buk-M2E SAM systems, Antey-2500 air defense system.

Rosoboronexport will also demonstrate all types of aircraft weapons designed to destroy air, ground and surface targets at various ranges. The Company offers aircraft weapons not only as part of Russian aircraft systems – they can be adapted for use from foreign-made planes and helicopters.

Pre-arranged meetings with the traditional and would-be partners from the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America will be held during the exhibition. Particular attention will be given to the negotiations with European partners with whom Rosoboronexport has been building up long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation for many years. The LINS-100RS laser inertial navigation system form RS Alliance, a Russian-French JV, displayed on the Rosoboronexport stand is one of the results of such efforts.

“We are open to dialogue with European partners. The successful practice of cooperation over the years has shown a growing mutual interest in joint cooperative projects, including those in the interests of third countries. At the exhibition, we will discuss the prospects for further development of our relations,” said Sergey Kornev.
