01.11.2016 Press release

JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will organize the Russian exhibit display at the Airshow China International Aerospace Exhibition 2016, which will take place from November 1 to 6 in Zhuhai, China. The joint Russian delegation will be headed by Russian Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Deputy Director Vladimir Drozhzhov.

“For us, participation in Airshow China 2016 is a key area of marketing activity. It is one of the largest platforms in the Asia-Pacific Region to showcase modern air weapons and equipment. That is why here Rosoboronexport offers foreign customers the most in-demand combat-proven Russian military hardware, which has earned high praise from many countries," said Sergey Kornev, Head of Rosoboronexport’s Air Force Equipment Export Department, who leads the Company’s delegation.

Rosoboronexport will participate in this year’s exhibition for the ninth time. The Russian display will occupy an area of 1578 square meters in Hall 5. Military products will be showcased at the company's stand using augmented reality technology. Russian army, air defense and air equipment will be shown in real time on 18 video panels. With this advertising and exhibition technology, among other things, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the features of the latest Russian Su-35 fighters, Mi-35M helicopters and Pantsir-S1 air defense missile/gun systems.

In addition to the above weaponry, Rosoboronexport considers the Su-32 and Yak-130 aircraft, Ka-52 and Mi-26 helicopters, as well as air defense systems, which are on display at Airshow China 2016, promising for promotion in the markets of the region. Rosoboronexport and Russian manufacturers will demonstrate more than 280 pieces of military hardware in China. Rosoboronexport views the fulfillment of contractual obligations relating to delivery of the newest weapons and military equipment and the provision of their high-quality after-sales service as its main objective.

The performances of the Russian Knights and Swifts aerobatics teams, which invariably earn the applause of the public, no matter what country they perform in, will be the highlight of the exhibition’s program. In the sky over Zhuhai, Russian pilots will show wonders of aerobatics with Su-27 and MiG-29 aircraft.

“Russia is ready to continue to actively develop mutually beneficial partnership with China in the field of defense and security. In fact, this is evidenced by major contracts to supply the Chinese armed forces with modern Russian fighters and SAM systems concluded in recent years,” said Sergey Kornev.

At Airshow China 2016, the Rosoboronexport delegation has an extensive business agenda that includes pre-arranged meetings with the representatives of the armed forces of China and other countries in Southeast Asia, as well as the heads and top managers of a number of government agencies and the business community.
