Crown Prince of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Mohammed Al Nahyan visited Russia in September 2006, June 2009, October 2012, September 2013, April 2017, and October 2024.
Trade and economic relations are regulated by the Intergovernmental Agreement on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation of 1990. Since 1994, a cooperation agreement has been in force between the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the UAE. The Intergovernmental Russian-Emirates Commission on Trade, Economic and Technical Cooperation (established in 1994) is successfully functioning. The Russian-Emirates Business Council (REBC) has been operating since September 2005.
Rosoboronexport is a regular exhibitor at the IDEX International Defense Exhibition held in Abu Dhabi every two years (since 1993) and at the Dubai Airshow International Aerospace Exhibition held in Dubai also every two years.
