K-4386 ZASN-D Air-Droppable Special Protected Vehicle

The K-4386 4x4 armoured vehicle belongs to the TYPHOON-K family of armoured vehicles and is designed for transportation of personnel, cargo, as well as installation of various systems and weapons.
The protected air-dropped special-purpose vehicle is designed for airborne (air assault) units, and can be the base for creating protected air-droppable vehicles for combat support units.

K-4386 ZASN-D

The main design feature of K-4386 is the monocoque armoured hull, which increases rigidity and strength and allows the vehicle to be air-dropped safely. The land platform can be equipped with various combat modules, including a remotely operated weapon station with a 30mm automatic gun and a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun.

A modern fire-control system ensures detection and engagement of various types of targets at any time of the day and under any weather conditions.

Description

The K-4386 features a 350hp multifuel diesel engine, a 9-speed fixed-ratio mechanical transmission and independent spring-driven non-adjustable suspension.
Despite its curb weight of 13.7 t, the mine-protected K-4386 is an off-road vehicle capable of moving over rough terrains and easily overcomes various obstacles.
The combined protection of the armoured hull provides protection against small arms, shell fragments and explosive devices. The vehicle is equipped with blast-absorbing seats of the crew and mounted troops. .
