The SPARTAK is powered with the YaMZ-536 312hp diesel engine and a mechanical transmission. Despite its weight exceeding 14 t, the land platform has a maximum road speed of no less than 100 km/h. The vehicle’s carriage is fitted with leaf suspension; however, the SPARTAK features high traveling comfort.
The single-volume armoured hull provides protection according to STANAG 4569 Level 3. Optionally additional armouring elements can be installed on the body exterior thus increasing ballistic protection. Anti-mine protection withstands a detonation of up to 6 kg of explosives under wheel or belly.
Great under armour hull volume, increased protection of the Spartak vehicle makes it possible to use this vehicle as a base for mounting various equipment, as an EW, command-and-staff, medical vehicle, etc.
