Planshet-A

The Planshet-A equipment system for automation and control of artillery and mortar units is designed to provide automated preparation for firing and fire control during performance of fire missions by artillery and mortar units not having organic automated control facilities, regardless of the organizational affiliation of the unit, with arbitrary arrangement of firepower at firing positions and during counter-fire maneuvers.

 The Planshet-M-IR provides for automated control of a battalion (battery) and performance of the following primary functions and tasks:

  • information exchange of formalized and informal messages in an open mode between battalion (battery) command posts, forward (side) observers (spotters) and gun commanders;
  • collection, processing, storage and output of data on the position, nature of actions, condition and provision of subordinate units and means;
  • collection, processing, storage and output of information on the position, condition and nature of actions of reconnoitered enemy targets from organic and attached reconnaissance assets;
  • calculation of firing data, fire control, reconnaissance and maintenance of firing of a battalion, battery or firing platoon;
  • platoon-by-platoon firing of the battery.
