Description
The R-168-5UTE VHF vehicle radio set is intended to provide communications in regiment-battalion-company level command and control networks.
Types of operation:
- FM telephony;
- FM telephony with voice encryption;
- data transfer.

- fixed frequency (single-frequency simplex, dual-frequency simplex);
- frequency hopping (FH) (single-frequency simplex);
- adaptive communication (single-frequency simplex, dual-frequency simplex);
- scan receiving at 8 preset frequencies;

- retransmission;
- manual or automated radio data recording from a radio data input device (via an optical interface) or external computer;
- emergency radio data erasure;
- reception/transmission of conference, address and tone calls;
- operation at 8 preset frequencies;
- economic receiving;
- remote control from a telephone;
- operation control from an external computer via the RS-232C interface;
- voice informer of the operator’s actions;
- dialog mode;
