KORNET-EM Anti-Tank Guided Missile System

The KORNET-EM anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system is a round-the-clock precision-guided long-range missile system with a jamming resistance laser beam – riding guidance unit. The system is designed to engage ground and aerial targets in optically and electronically contested environments.

ATGM

The KORNET-EM anti-tank missile system is manufactured in two different modifications:

  • a vehicle-borne modification with an automated launcher incorporating four ready-use missiles and a TV/thermal imaging sight with an automatic target tracker;

  • a man-portable modification with a modified tripod-mounted launcher of the KORNET-E anti-tank guided missile systems.

The former variant is a self-propelled ATGM system, while the latter is intended for dismounted infantry.

Description

The KORNET-EM ATGM system with an automated launcher features an automatic target tracker that allows target engagement in fire-and-forget mode. It also provides high hit probability. This variant of the system is also capable of engaging low-speed low-flying aerial targets, including tactical unmanned aerial vehicles. A KORNET-EM SPATGM with two automated launchers can engage two different targets in a simultaneous manner.

The tripod-mounted man-portable modification of the KORNET-EM ATGM system fires both missiles of both KORNET-E and KORNET-EM families. The weapon is complemented with a thermal imaging sight.
