The 9K515 MLRS (“Tornado-C” MLRS export version) is developed on the basis of “Smerch” MLRS and capable to strike both the area, and pinpoint targets at the ranges up to 120 km.
The 9K515 MLRS can fire all types of the rocket projectiles used by 9K58 “Smerch” MLRS and also newly designed Guided Missiles.

Automated laying and fire control system, preparing and launching apparatus provides automatic topographic survey, orientation on the terrain, automatized data exchange with the Command Vehicle, launch calculations and rocket mission input, and also launch preparation, launch pod aiming with crew inside the cabin.
But crew can also leave the vehicle and use a remote control from a hideout.
The 9М544 Guided Missile with Shaped-Charge Fragmentation Submunitions and 9М549 Guided Missile with Fragmentation Submunitions can target destroy at range up to 120 km.
