The Ballista Remote Weapon Station (BRWS) is designed to engage enemy manpower, its firing points, motor vehicles and air targets at any time of the year and day from the halt, on the move and afloat.
High firing capabilities of the BRWS are supported by a 30 mm automatic gun, a 7.62 mm machine gun, two missiles, smoke grenade launchers and the cutting edge fire control system (FCS). The FCS makes it possible to detect, identify and engage targets in any environment, from the halt and on the move, day and night, in any weather conditions.
Arming of gun and machine gun is either pyrotechnic or manual.
The Ballista module is equipped with a sight having television, thermal imaging and rangefinder channels. The habitable compartment of the vehicle houses an automated workstation for the operator equipped with a panel and control console.
