The Kalashnikov AK-19 5.56mm assault rifle is a hand-carried weapon for destroying enemy personnel and engaging firepower.
The new assault rifle uses RS101 enhanced penetration cartridge, but the use of M193, M855, SS109 and other .223Rem ammunition with FMJ (FMJBT) bullets weighing 3.6 – 4.0 g is acceptable.
The AK-19 is equipped with a balanced forearm, which provides increased accuracy of fire, Picatinny rails for mounting various sighting devices, pre-lens attachments, flashlights and laser target designators. It is also equipped with a bayonet, a low-noise firing device for special missions and is compatible with 40 mm underbarrel grenade launchers. The butt can be adjusted in length within 60 mm with a 10 mm locking step and folds for carriage.
