The 7.62mm Kalashnikov Upgraded Tank Machine Gun is an automatic weapon designed to engage enemy manpower and assets.
The machine gun can be installed on tanks, armored vehicles, helicopters, boats and other materiel.
Modern Russian-made Remote-Controlled Weapon Stations (RCWSs) are also equipped with PKTMs.
It uses conventional, armor-piercing incendiary, tracer and enhanced penetration ammunition.
