The ADMS has a high probability of air targets engagement and has the ability to autonomously use self-propelled firing units (targets illumination and guidance radars with launcher -loading installations).
The "Buk-M2E" ADMS is designed to destroy strategic and tactical aircraft, helicopters, including hovering ones, cruise missiles and other aerodynamic air targets, in the entire range of their possible use, tactical ballistic and aviation missiles, guided bombs in conditions of intense radio-electronic and fire countermeasures from the enemy, as well as for firing at surface and ground radio-contrast targets.
