The 9 mm PPK-20 Kalashnikov submachine gun was developed on the Vityaz-SN submachine gun base and differs from it by smaller sizes, small weight, available readily removable sound and flash suppressor, folding telescopic butt made of impact-resistant polymer, ergonomic pistol grip and upgraded two-side fire selector switch.
The 7H21 high-pulse armor-piercing cartridge is the main ammunition type for this submachine gun, while PPK-20 can at the same time use the majority of other 9x19 cartridges of Russian and foreign make.
The submachine gun has Picatinny rails provided on receiver cover and fore-end, making it possible to mount modern tactical equipment.
Low blowback level and small dimensions allow firing from the PPK-20 even by one hand.
