Mission

The 14.5mm naval pedestal machine gun mount with the 14.5mm KPVT machine gun is designed to equip combat boats and other marine and river vessels and engage surface, coastal and air lightly armored targets.

Features:

• aiming and firing the KPVT by one gunner;
• firing short bursts (10-15 rounds) and long bursts (up to 50 rounds);
• engagement of surface and coastal targets at ranges up to 2,000 m and air targets at altitudes up to 1,500 m and at ranges up to 2,000 m using ammunition with B-32 armor-piercing incendiary bullet, BZT armor-piercing incendiary tracer bullet and MDZ instantaneous action incendiary bullet;
• practice fire with blank cartridges.

Ammunition:

14.5mm ammunition are designed to destroy lightly armored surface and ground targets (armored personnel carriers, firing points and targets behind small shelters) at a range of up to 1,000 meters, as well as engage congestions of infantry and transport vehicles at a distance of up to 2,000 m and low-flying air targets at altitudes up to 2,000 m.
