JSC Rosoboronexport (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will showcase the latest Russian law enforcement, counter-terrorism and information security solutions at the Milipol Paris 2017, Worldwide Exhibition of Internal State Security. The event will be held from November 21 to 24 in Paris, France.
The official Russian delegation at the exhibition is headed by Anatoly Punchuk, Deputy Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia; Valery Varlamov, Head of Rosoboronexport ‘s Security Department, leads the company’s delegation.
“Rosoboronexport offers the market not only weapons and military equipment, but also infrastructure, state and information security products and solutions. At Milipol Paris 2017, a leading worldwide event of the latest security products and services, we intend to present to foreign customers Rosoboronexport’s projects for these segments of the global market. We will also offer a wide range of the most advanced Russian weapons and military equipment for police and special forces units,” Valery Varlamov said.
At Milipol Paris 2017, Rosoboronexport will actively promote its new marketing product, Russian-made Security Systems, which includes a spectrum of special tools and systems. A significant portion of the spectrum is devoted to counter-terrorism equipment. Foreign customers can be supplied with special small arms and close combat weapons, special armored vehicles, search and inspection equipment, explosive and drug detection devices, explosive ordnance handling equipment, and robotic systems.
In addition, security systems include the equipment for protection of high-priority and critical infrastructure facilities, extended borders both on land and on water. Considerable attention is given to anti-drone warfare and cyber security topics.
Rosoboronexport‘s display will be housed in Pavilion No. 6. Over 150 models of weapons and military equipment developed and produced by Russian defense enterprises will be exhibited on stand No. 6M052. In addition, JSC Mart Group and JSC Research Institute of Applied Chemistry, a federal research and production center, will show their products in Paris as part of the joint Russian display organized by the special exporter. On Rosoboronexport’s stand, the Stilsoft Group will also arrange a display rack with a touch-screen video terminal equipped with a StilScan biometric person identification system.
Russia’s weapons and military equipment exhibited in Paris and showing promise for the world market include the Typhoon-K-series MRAP vehicle, VPK-233136 special armored vehicle, BTR-80A and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers, as well as small arms and close combat weapons. The Ka-226T and Ansat light utility helicopters are attracting attention of foreign customers. Special forces units operating in the maritime and coastal zones are particularly interested in the Project 14310 Mirazh, Project 12150 Mangoust and Project 12200 Sobol patrol boats, as well as in the Project 12061E Murena-E air-cushion landing boat.
During Milipol Paris 2017, Rosoboronexport’s delegation intends to “compare notes” with representatives of the law enforcement agencies of the partner countries, as well as to carry out active promotional activities.
“In particular, we are going to talk about new capabilities of our company to supply civil and sports weapons, as well as to export services and products providing comprehensive security, including information security. In these areas we are ready to cooperate with government agencies and commercial entities, representatives of the banking, energy (including nuclear) sectors of the economy,” Valery Varlamov added.
