Mission

The MiG-29M multifunctional frontline fighter is designed to engage air targets in any weather, day or night, as well as destroy moving and fixed ground (surface) targets.

The MiG-29M can effectively accomplish such missions as combat air patrol, air target interception, escort of attack and military transport aircraft, striking against surface (ground) targets, air support of troops and landing forces, battlefield air interdiction and aerial reconnaissance.

Equipment

The MiG-29M carries flight-control-navigation equipment, quad-redundant fly-by-wire flight control system, radar and optical locating stations, a helmet-mounted targeting/display system, communications and self-defense equipment, cockpit instrumentation and other equipment which, working jointly, provide high flight safety, effective use of aerial weapons and solving of navigation problems.

Armament

The MiG-29M is equipped with short- and medium-range air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles, guided aerial bombs, unguided rockets and bombs, and an internal gun. Owing to a wide range of weapons coupled with its excellent performance, the MiG-29M offers high combat effectiveness.
