The Kh-29TE extended range air-to-surface missile with a TV seeker and transmission of television images of the target to a display in the aircraft cockpit is designed to engage difficult ground targets (large road and rail bridges, industrial buildings, concrete runways, concrete aircraft shelters) and surface targets (ships displacing up to 10,000 tons).
The missile uses the fire-and-forget concept, providing the pilot room to maneuver. It uses a passive TV guidance system, which implements combined control in short- and long-range homing phases after lock-on before launch.
HE penetrating warhead, contact fuze.
