Mission

The 76.2mm AK-176M automatic shipborne gun mount is designed to equip surface combatants, including dynamically supported ships, and serves to engage air, surface, and visible coastal targets.

Features

The AK-176M is a single-barrel, automatic, turret-type gun mount with remote control from the ship's fire control system. There are no personnel in the underturret compartment.

The gun mount accommodates a local control station that enables semi-automatic laying and fire using the Kondensor sighting device.

In emergency mode (no power), the gun mount is aimed at the target using the VD-221 sight system and hand laying drives.

A feature of the gun mount is the possibility of one and two-sided ammunition feed in firing. Depending on the gun mount location on board a ship, the ammunition can be loaded via two or four loading valves.

For its operation, the gun mount must receive power from the ship's three-phase AC network:

• line voltage of 380V, 50Hz;
• or line voltage of 380V, 400Hz;
• or line voltage of 220V, 400Hz.
