ROSOBORONEXPORT JSC (part of Rostec State Corporation) will organize the demonstration of the latest Russian defence and security technologies at Vietnam Defence Expo 2024, which will be held from December 19 to 22 in Hanoi, Vietnam.
In 2024, the exhibition is timed to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defence Day.

ROSOBORONEXPORT always offers the Vietnamese military the latest, reliable and effective Russian defence products to equip the army and security forces," - said Alexander Mikheev, Director General of ROSOBORONEXPORT. - "At Vietnam Defence Expo 2024, ROSOBORONEXPORT is exhibiting full-size models of the Typhoon-K MRAP vehicle with the Kornet-EM ATGM system, the BMP-3 IFV with add-on armor and the Rubezh-ME coastal defence missile system for the first time abroad. This military equipment has been modified taking into account the experience of its employment in modern warfare and can take its rightful place in the Vietnam People's Army".
Russia’s single exhibit, organized by JSC ROSOBORONEXPORT, comprises 16 manufacturers of weapons and military equipment for the Land Forces, Air Force, Navy, Air Defence Forces, as well as special operations units and law enforcement agencies. These include Almaz-Antey, ZALA, Special Technology Center and Rostec’s High-Precision Systems, Kalashnikov Group and UAC.
Almost all the Russian military products showcased at the exhibition have proved their capabilities in modern high-intensity warfare.
ROSOBORONEXPORT presents the Typhoon-K MRAP vehicle with an automated launcher for the Kornet-EM ATGM system for the first time abroad. This vehicle features enhanced mine and ballistic protection, reliability, maneuverability, cross-country capability and innovative approaches to ergonomics, layout and equipment.
The BMP-3 IFV with add-on armor, modified taking into account the experience of combat use, will also make its world premiere. To effectively counter modern HEAT ammunition, FPV drones and ATGMs, the vehicle is equipped with side slat armor and a top-attack protection system. The BMP-3 also features video control equipment and robotics.
At its stand, ROSOBORONEXPORT will also present the Iskander-E theater missile system, T-90MS MBT, Msta-S 152mm self-propelled howitzer, and the Tablet-A handheld automated artillery/mortar fire control system to representatives of the Vietnam People's Army and the land forces of the guest countries.
The Lancet-E loitering munition system will be showcased for the first time in Southeast Asia in a complete configuration consisting of two loitering munitions (Item 51-E and Item 52-E) and Z-16-E recon drone. In the UAV segment, ROSOBORONEXPORT will also exhibit the Orlan-10-E, Orlan-30, S-350-M Skat recon drone systems and the Kub-E loitering munition.
ROSOBORONEXPORT is exhibiting Kalashnikov AK-200 series, AK-15, AK-19, AK-308 assault rifles, Chukavin sniper rifle, Lebedev PLK pistol, Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun, identifiers of explosives, hazardous chemicals, poisonous substances and biological agents, metal detectors for equipping army and special operation units and law enforcement agencies.
The Rubezh-ME tactical coastal defence missile system with the Kh-35UE missile will be demonstrated to Navies of Vietnam and the countries participating in Vietnam Defence Expo 2024 outside Russia for the first time. The system integrates 4 transport/launch canisters, radar and fire control/communication/command instruments mounted on a single platform. This complies with the "missile craft-on-wheels" concept, which provides for the installation of all equipment on a single platform.
In the segment of naval products ROSOBORONEXPORT will also showcase Project 22800E Karakurt-E-class small missile ship, Zaslon new-generation multifunctional radar system, high-speed BK-16 transport/landing and BK-10 assault boats, Klavesin-1RE autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle. The company will make a presentation of Russia's capabilities to build coastal ship repair infrastructure and basing systems for surface ships and submarines.
For Air Force representatives ROSOBORONEXPORT will display the Su-35 fighter and the Mi-171Sh military transport helicopter at its stand. Delegations of Air Defence Forces may have interest in the Viking SAM system and Pantsir-S1M SPAAGM system.
During the business program of the exhibition ROSOBORONEXPORT will take part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army, hold meetings and negotiations with military officials of Vietnam and other Southeast Asian countries, as well as representatives of industrial enterprises interested in cooperation with Russia in the defence sector.
